The secret of the South is out: Collards are just not good; they're good for you.
It’s exactly as stated. These are powdered and taste like collards. Collards are a rich source of vitamins, minerals like iron and a good source of fiber. They’re also good for lowering cholesterol and generally maintaining good health.
There’s very little to say against collards. It is a good source of vitamin K and if your doctor advises against that due to your medications, that’s the only reason I can think of to not include these in your daily diet.
The combination of iron and vitamins are enough to keep me going longer and not tire out as quickly. This freeze-dried version works just as well but without the seasoning and salt.
I take it in about a half cup of water with sometimes collagen added in. It does taste green but not that bad. The first time I tried it, I didn’t add enough water and it was thick. That was too strong for me to take for the taste. Now, some will use this in making a smoothie and I’m sure won’t notice the taste but will notice the extra energy in a couple of days.
